MISSION STATEMENT

The following Mission Statement was agreed by East Durham Partnership members in June 1995:

Mission and Aims 1994 - 1998

East Durham Partnership exists to promote activity within the East Durham communities which will be of benefit to individuals, facilities, groups and organisations, which will help people individually and collectively to achieve their goals, and which will contribute towards an improved quality of life for people and towards the regeneration of East Durham. The Partnership believes in collaboration, helping people to help themselves, optimism about what can be achieved and celebration of success.

Aims:

The Partnership will achieve its mission by:- networking with people and enabling individuals and groups with similar goals to work together, developing positive attitudes towards what can be achieved locally, finding the means to provide materials and facilities which will help people achieve their goals, helping people to achieve or develop the skills they need to reach their goals and achieve their aims, providing advice, guidance, consultancy, support and assistance wherever possible to develop community activities or projects which help the common good.

The East Durham Partnership is a non-profit making, voluntary sector Organisation which is committed to equality of opportunity for all.
